Start with the result, not the technique
Most people arrive asking for a technique — balayage, highlights, ombré. Those are methods. The useful conversation starts one step earlier: what do you want your hair to look like, and how often are you willing to be in the chair for it?
A brunette can have balayage. Someone who wants to be blonde may be better served by foils. The technique follows the result and your hair's starting point, not the other way round.
How the work divides
Blonde is a result — warm, bright, lived-in or dimensional — reached by whichever technique your starting level allows.
Highlights are foils: full, partial, face-framing, and the money piece. Precise, repeatable, strongest where you want brightness placed exactly.
Balayage is hand-painted, so the grow-out is soft rather than striped. Fewer appointments, less precision at the root.
Gray coverage and blending are two different answers to the same hair, and both are legitimate.
Color correction is for when something already on the hair has to come out first.
Ammonia-free and organic color is the formulation layer running underneath all of it.
Dimensional color
Light and dark alternated through the hair for depth that still reads as your own. It is the answer when hair has gone flat — not lighter overall, just less one-note. From $350, about two hours.
In 2026 this is moving toward lower contrast: highlights closer to the natural base, softer transitions, dimension you notice before you notice the technique.
What every color appointment includes
A conversation before anything is mixed — your hair's history, what you liked, what you did not, and how much time you genuinely want to spend on it between visits. The formula written down and carried forward. Ammonia-free professional color wherever it will do the job, and honesty when a small amount of ammonia is the correct technical choice.
And nobody selling you a service you did not ask about. If your hair does not need a treatment, you will be told it does not need a treatment.

What is the difference between highlights and balayage?
Highlights are applied in foils, which gives precise placement and gets closer to the root. Balayage is painted on by hand, which gives a softer grow-out with no hard regrowth line. Highlights suit you if you want brightness placed exactly and do not mind a more visible root. Balayage suits you if you want fewer appointments and can live with less precision. Many clients end up with both in the same head.
How often should I come in for color?
Four, six or twelve weeks. Four suits precise blonde and full gray coverage. Six suits dimension and gloss with softer regrowth. Twelve suits color designed to grow out softly on purpose. The right rhythm is the one that matches your hair and your calendar, and we work it out at consultation.
Is your color really organic?
Our color and balayage formulas are made with up to 99% organic and natural ingredients, and we work ammonia-free wherever the hair allows. Not every product in the salon is organic, and we will tell you which is which. It is evidence of how we work, not a claim about your health.
How much does hair color cost?
Single process and gray coverage from $95. Partial highlights from $200, full highlights from $300. Balayage, ombré and dimensional color from $350. Gloss from $65. Correction is $160 per hour with a $250 minimum. Every price is a starting price; the real number comes at consultation.
