Thinning hair · Juno Beach, Florida
More hair, honestly.
Hair integration for thinning at the crown, the part or the top, fitted by a certified HairDreams Advanced Hair Loss Specialist. We cannot make your hair grow back and we will not pretend to. What we can change is how much hair there appears to be.
First, the thing nobody says out loud
This is not a treatment. It does not regrow hair, it does not reverse anything, and it is not medicine. Anyone who tells you a salon service will bring your hair back is selling you something.
What it is: real human hair, hand-tied onto a very fine mesh, fitted into the hair you still have so that density reads differently. Your own hair keeps growing underneath. Nothing is glued to your scalp, and nothing is done to the follicles.
If your hair is shedding suddenly, coming out in patches, or changing in a way you cannot explain, see a doctor before you see us. That is not us being careful with our words — a cause worth treating is worth finding, and we would rather you found it. What a salon should and should not tell you about your scalp.
Who this is actually for
Women who can see more scalp at the part than they used to. Women whose ponytail has got thinner and who have started styling around it. Women who are fine, medically, and simply have less hair than they had at forty.
It also suits hair that is thin in one place rather than everywhere — the crown, the part line, the temples — which is where most women notice it first and where a haircut alone stops being enough.
It is not for everyone, and the consultation exists to say so. If your own hair cannot anchor the system, or the area is larger than it can cover well, we will tell you that rather than fit something that looks worse than the problem.
Why a colorist does this work
Because the giveaway is never the hair. It is the match.
Added hair that is half a shade off, or the wrong depth at the root, announces itself in daylight no matter how well it is fitted. Nancy has spent forty years matching color, runs over 100 corrective cases a year, and this is the same problem wearing a different name: make two different things read as one thing, in every light, for months.
It is also why the color plan and the integration get decided together. If you color your hair, what goes in has to live with what you do next — your gloss, your root, your summer.
What Florida does to it
Sun, salt and chlorine are hard on your own hair and harder on hair that is no longer attached to a scalp, because it receives no natural oil. It dries faster and holds on to brass and mineral build-up more stubbornly.
None of that makes this a bad idea here. It means how you wash it, what you swim in and what you sleep on are part of the fitting conversation rather than something discovered in August.
What happens at the consultation
Somebody looks at your hair. Density where it is thinning and density where it is not, how much of your own hair there is to anchor to, the condition of it, and what your week actually looks like.
Then you get a straight answer: whether this suits you, what it would involve, and what it would cost. The number depends on how much area is being covered and how much hair it takes, so it is quoted after someone has seen it — never before.
Bring photographs of your hair when you liked it, if you have them. It is the fastest way to tell us what you are actually asking for.

Questions
Will this make my hair grow back?
No. Nothing we do in a salon regrows hair. This adds hair to the hair you have so there appears to be more of it. If you want to know why your hair is thinning, that is a question for a doctor, and a good one to ask.
Is it damaging to the hair I still have?
Fitted onto hair that can carry it, and maintained and removed properly, it should not be. Fitted badly or left too long, any added hair pulls — which is exactly why the assessment happens first and why we will say no when no is the right answer.
Can you see it?
Not when it is matched and placed properly. The mesh is very fine and it sits under your own hair, which falls over it. What gives these systems away is almost always a color match that is slightly off, and that is the part we are good at.
Can I still color my hair?
Yes, and the color plan is made alongside it rather than after. Your own root will keep growing and shifting; the added hair will not shift in the same way. Planning both together is what stops it separating three months later.
What does it cost?
Quoted at consultation. It depends on how much area is being covered and how much hair that takes, and any figure given before someone has looked at your head is a guess.
How do I start?
Call the salon on (561) 578-9549 and say it is about thinning hair. It is a conversation before it is an appointment, and it is easier to have out loud.
