Hair Crime No. 01
Blue-black, navy and brown → balanced Level 6 brown
What walked in.
- Navy and blue-black through the front
- Medium brown through other areas
- Approximately Level 3 dark brown through the back
What she wanted. A Level 7 light golden brown.
What Nancy found. As the artificial pigment began coming out, strong orange underlying pigment appeared. That changed the correction. The question stopped being “how do we reach Level 7” and became how far this hair could responsibly be taken in one sitting.
The correction. Several corrective cleansing steps to remove and rebalance the previous color.
Lesson: The requested color gives us the destination. The hair decides how far we travel in one appointment.
