Questions people actually ask.
no ‘it depends' without telling you what it depends on.
The short version
The questions that come up most in the chair, grouped and answered briefly, with a link to the longer answer where it lives. If yours is not here, call the salon on (561) 578-9549 — somebody who does hair will answer it.
Each answer here is the short one. The link under it goes to the long one, written by the person who does the work.
Booking and getting here
Where exactly are you?
13959 US Highway 1, Juno Beach, FL 33408. On US-1, with parking at the door.
Is there a good colourist near me in Palm Beach Gardens?
We are about ten minutes from Palm Beach Gardens, and a large share of our clients drive from there.
Is there a hair salon near me in Jupiter?
Roughly five to ten minutes south of most of Jupiter, straight down US-1.
Can I book online?
Online booking is being rebuilt, so right now you send a request and Nancy calls you back to confirm a time — usually the same day. Nails, facials and same-day appointments are a phone call.
What are your hours?
Mon 9–6 · Tue 9–7 · Wed–Thu 10–8 · Fri 9–7 · Sat 9–7. Closed Sunday.
What is the cancellation policy?
Twenty-four hours' notice. Cancelling later than that, or not arriving, is charged at 50% of the service. It is salon policy applied at the salon — nothing is charged to a card automatically.

Colour
How much is colour?
Single process from $95, partial highlights $200, full highlights $300, balayage and dimensional $350.
Does organic, ammonia-free colour actually cover gray?
Yes, including resistant gray, when the formula is built for it and given the full processing time.
What is the difference between gray coverage and gray blending?
Coverage hides it and needs refreshing every four to six weeks. Blending softens it and buys you longer.
Why won't my gray take colour?
Resistant gray has a tighter cuticle and less pigment, so colour has less to grip. It is handled differently.
Is ammonia-free the same as chemical-free?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Permanent colour is a chemical process. Ammonia-free describes the alkaliser.
Blonde
Can I go blonde in one appointment?
Sometimes. It depends on your starting level, your colour history and how your hair behaves under lightener.
How much is platinum, and how often do roots need doing?
From $500 over four to seven hours. Solid platinum shows a root at about three weeks; rooted platinum, eight.
Why does my blonde turn brassy?
Sun, chlorine and salt pull it warm, and toner fades. A gloss at $65 is usually the fix.
Balayage or highlights?
Balayage grows out softly; highlights are more precise and brighter at the root. Different jobs.
Colour correction
How much does correction cost?
$160 an hour with a $250 minimum, quoted only after a $25 consultation. Sometimes one visit, sometimes three.
Why do I need a consultation first?
Because the price depends entirely on what is already on your hair, and nobody can see that from a photograph.
Can you fix box dye?
Usually. It is the most common thing we correct. Bring the box if you still have it.
Cuts, nails and everything else
How often should men get a haircut?
Two to three weeks for a tight taper, up to twelve for longer hair. The cut decides, not the calendar.
Which bob would suit me?
There are about ten in circulation and most disappointment comes from using one word for different haircuts.
Do you do nail art?
No. Solid colour and classic French only, and we would rather send you somewhere that specialises.
Do you do men's cuts?
Yes. $55, forty-five minutes, with a cup of Cuban coffee.
Still not answered?
Call the salon. You will get somebody who does hair rather than a form.

We look at your hair, its history and your actual calendar before anyone mixes anything. It is the difference between a result you like once and one you can keep.
