Three galleries. One afternoon.

PGA Commons is easy to think of as somewhere you go for dinner.

Look a little closer and there is an actual art cluster there.

Three galleries sit close enough to make an afternoon of it without turning the day into a field trip: Studio E Gallery, Onessimo Fine Art and Native Visions Galleries.

They are not three versions of the same room, which is exactly why the combination works.

Studio E specialises in contemporary fine art, three-dimensional media and sculpture. It represents living artists and has been operating in South Florida for nearly three decades. This is the stop for contemporary work with enough range to move between painting, texture and sculpture without the gallery feeling locked into one visual language. 4600 PGA Blvd., Suite 101.

Onessimo Fine Art, at 4530 PGA Blvd., Suite 101, carries contemporary paintings alongside master prints, photography, mixed media, glass, metal and sculpture. It also runs an active exhibition programme, so what you see shifts depending on when you go. Check before visiting if you care about what is currently showing rather than simply browsing inventory.

Native Visions sits at 4600 PGA Blvd., Suite 105 and has a very different point of view — a strong focus on wildlife, African art, landscapes, environmental work and sculpture in glass, wood and bronze. That difference is useful. A three-gallery afternoon should not feel like looking at the same aesthetic three times.

Because “go look at some art” becomes a much easier proposition when the galleries are clustered together.

No elaborate cultural itinerary. Pick an afternoon, wander through the three, decide what you actually like, then figure out lunch.
