TOUCHÉE’S EDIT / ART + CULTURE / WORTH THE DRIVE
The art stop just north of Jupiter
One for when you want more than a quick gallery browse.
A little north of Jupiter, Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta operates as both an exhibition space and a working arts organisation.
That matters, because it gives the place a different energy from a strictly commercial gallery. There are rotating exhibitions, classes and studio activity across two- and three-dimensional work, including ceramics.
From September 10 through November 14, 2026, the ArtCenter is scheduled to present LUSH 4: A Contemporary Ceramics Biennial, focused on contemporary clay across functional, sculptural and experimental work, with an artist reception currently scheduled for October 8.
If your idea of ceramics ends somewhere around a polite bowl, this is probably the useful correction.
Why it is on the Edit
Because the interesting local radius does not stop at a city line.
Touchée’s Edit should be able to say something is worth driving a little farther for when the reason is good enough.
A contemporary ceramics biennial is a good enough reason.
Worth the drive? That is the category. Send us the next one.
