The booking system is built and tested and is waiting on the last piece of setup. When it is live, these two doors open it. Until then, requests arrive by the website form and by phone, and Nancy has the diary.

Today’s appointments in order, adding a booking for someone on the phone, moving one, marking a client who did not arrive, and finding anyone by name or number. Requests that came in through the website land here too.

Your chair, and what is on the card.
Who is coming and when, and what was mixed last time — the formula, the developer, the timing and what the hair did. If a client says “the same as last time”, this is where last time is written down.

The menu, and the money.
Changing how long a service is booked for, rewriting its description, taking something off online booking, and releasing a deposit. A separate password on purpose — it is not the one to stay signed into all day. Any change here asks for the confirmation code before it will save.

Three passwords, three levels. The password you type decides what you can do — a stylist sign-in can look but not book or cancel, the front desk can book and cancel, and Admin is the only one that can change the menu or move money. Nancy signs in as a stylist most of the day and switches to the front desk to put something in the book. Do not share a password outside the salon, and tell Nancy if anyone leaves.
